While driving near Azusa Pacific University, our client’s vehicle was struck by another driver making an unlawful left turn from the university parking lot onto the main roadways. As a result of this collision, our client’s vehicle was “totaled” and our client suffered a sprain to his right wrist. Our client sought immediate medical treatment from a nearby urgent care facility after noticing he was experiencing severe pain to his right arm. Our client’s right wrist was placed in a splint and he was unable to work for six (6) days due to the injuries.
In this matter, we were able to quickly establish that the other party was completely liable for the damage and began to form a line of communication with the party’s insurance company. We were able to quickly gather the medical documentation detailing the extent of our client’s injuries and we were able to clearly and concisely pinpoint the amount of loss wages our client was suffering as a result of being placed in the splint.
When it came time to negotiate settlement with the opposing party, we vigorously fought for our client to be fully compensated for his loss wages and we were able to more than double the offer from the defendant’s insurance company from their original offer.
Our office was able to negotiate a settlement award for our client that was almost four times the medical costs he had incurred to treat his injuries! The facts of every case are unique and nothing on this page or on this website should be taken as legal advice for any individual case or situation.
