Recently, in Los Angeles County at the Alhambra Courthouse our office successfully negotiated for a complete dismissal of our client’s Penal Code section 504/487(a), “Grand Theft by Embezzlement” misdemeanor offense.

According to the police reports, our client was working as a cashier at a home improvement store. It was alleged that during the course of her employment she would purposefully fail to charge her acquaintances for purchases that they would make at the store. According to the reports, over $1,400 was embezzled by our client.

We provided the prosecution with documentation showing that our client has no prior convictions, had obtained new employment, was supporting her daughter as a single mother, and had worked tirelessly to pursue her education.

After strenuous negotiation, we were able to negotiate to have our client complete five days of community labor and pay the home improvement store restitution in exchange for a complete dismissal of the charge!

This is a great result for our client!
