Recently, in Los Angeles County at the Torrance Courthouse our office successfully recalled a thirty-four (34) year old bench warrant on a Penal Code section 484(a) misdemeanor offense on behalf of our client and then persuaded the prosecution to dismiss the charge in the interests of justice pursuant to Penal Code section 1385.
Within a week of hiring our office, we were able to appear in court on our client’s behalf and recall the outstanding warrant. Then, we were able to negotiate to have the charge dismissed. Our client never had to appear in court, will serve no jail time, and will no longer face these criminal charges.
