The Law Firm of Escovar Law, APC, would like to announce the recent bar admission of its newest associate, Alexandra Mateus.

Alexandra Mateus graduated for the University of Southern California (USC) Gould School of Law in May of 2017. During her time at Gould, Alexandra Mateus served as President of Street Law, an organization aimed at educating inner-city students about the law and pursuing higher education. Ms. Mateus was also a board member of the Latino Law Students Association and organized the annual Judges and Lawyers Night, honoring alumni and esteemed members of the bench.

During her time at Gould, Ms. Mateus externed at the Ventura County Public Defender’s Office as a certified law clerk. During her third year in law school, Ms. Mateus began working at Escovar Law, APC as a part-time Law Clerk, assisting in criminal cases and post-conviction matters.

Ms. Mateus obtained her undergraduate education from the University of Redlands, where she graduated Phi Betta Kappa. Ms. Mateus double majored in Government and Race & Ethnic Studies. During her undergraduate education, Ms. Mateus was an active volunteer in the REACH program, a program focused on teaching youth detained in San Bernardino Juvenile Hall.

At Escovar Law, APC, Ms. Mateus practices in the area of criminal law and personal injury. Ms. Mateus particularly enjoys working on post-conviction matters and is passionate about her clients and the law.
