At the LAX Airport Courthouse I recently successfully litigated a Penal
Code section 1016.5 motion. My client hired me years after she had been
convicted for violating Health and Safety code section 11351. She had
served her sentence and the case was closed. The conviction was the key
basis for her deportation proceedings with Immigration and Customs Enforcement
(ICE). I was able to persuade the judge to grant the motion, the plea
and conviction were vacated. I was then able to have the charges dismissed
in their entirety. My client is no longer a felon and ICE no longer has
a basis for her deportation. We are pleased to have achieved a stellar
result for our client.
